Hopefully it is like Head Coach '09 where you got to designate your own roster minimums.

the OL is the big problem most teams only have 7 a LS would be handy to fill in that 8th.. but guess what?? now we can'd do that so lots of players will miss the rosters this year because some practice guy has to take a slot

Minimum total requirement of 38 players. 18 Offense + 17 Defense + 3 Special Teams.

Remember only 45 (of the 53 on roster) suit up for the game, these will usually be
39. 4th safety
40. 4th DE
41. 3rd DT for 4-3 teams / 3rd ILB for 3-4 teams
42. 4th DT for 4-3 teams / OLB for 3-4 teams
43. your kick & punt returner
44. a 5th CB (or WR if 43. is a CB)
45. can be anyone, your 8th lineman, a kickoff specialist, special team standout, your third QB, a 4th RB, a 3rd TE, another DB, your 5th CB/WR etc...

This is the way NFL teams go, it barely changes from team to team. If it's in the game it's in the game, no?

Now I agree with the system specific roster requirements for sure! Hopefully that is something that can be done next gen.

Next Gen? It doesn't seem like something so complicated it would have to wait. Wouldn't it just be another small section of code that activates when choosing between 4-3 and 3-4?
