Game atmosphere.

Anyone feel disappointed with the game atmosphere when playing Madden? You hardly notice a difference from the home fans if you're 3-13 or 13-3.

If I am 10-5 and fighting for a playoff spot in the last game, the crowd should be going berserk during the game. Likewise, if I am 3-12, during that final home game I should get boo'd on 3 and outs. The stadium should be half-filled. There should be signs saying fire the gm, or something to that effect.

When we get into the playoffs, the crowd should go insane. That's one thing I liked about the College series. I loved the feel of the game when I was playing in a tough place and my play art would start to shake, and my controller would rumble. I want that for Madden! If I in the conference championship and playing the Patriots in New England, I should feel it. If it's the 4th Quarter, down by 7 with 2 minutes left... no timeouts. If I am on offense, I want to FEEL that! The crowd should be going insane... my play art shaking, my controller rumbling, I should see the emotional effect it's having on my rookies... ect...

Anyone notice this stuff missing from past Maddens? Any word if they added it for 13?

I'd take it. Anything that makes the actual game play feel authentic. If my team is 1-13, then I'd love to see signs like that. It's part of the game, so why not?

Honestly, my main concern would be to make the game atmosphere match the moment. If I am 1-14, going into the last game of the season, make it feel like that. If I am 14-1 going into the playoffs, then make the home crowd enjoy it... If I am in a playoff game, and it's close, then have the crowd going nuts. These are things that should already be in the game.

Ea could, and should, improve the game atmosphere. Fans chanting, signs, more or less seats filled in the stadium. However, in Madden 12, with the Jaguars, I won the FN' Superbowl and the home crowd still booed me.

I agree with your post. You can not tell the difference between the Superbowl and a Pre Season game. The atmosphere needs to be insane. When your is a Superbowl or Championship game etc your fans and commentators need to be going wild.

Been this way for years. I watched a replay of Denver/Pitt AFC playoffs, and when Denver scored the game winner, Mile High was shaking. In the game, we get golf claps...
