I wrote that 4 years ago! Looks like NHL 13 is finally listening...oh well. I also play co-op almost exclusively in sports games as well. Hate to see it going away but what can we do short of not buying the product.

To my knowledge, online franchise co-op play has never existed in any football video game. It certainly wasn't in Madden NFL 12.

Online franchise where each player plays on a separate team is very much a thing in Madden NFL 13, this being Connected Careers mode.

I'd ask a GameChanger about this to be sure, but as far as I know Online Team Play in the context of a one-off online game (that is, something that is a Ranked or Unranked standalone online match) is still very much a part of Madden NFL 13.

Sorry, I meant that co-op franchise mode has been removed and that applies to online as well as offline.

The one-off meaningless games can be played in co-op via Play Now mode.

If it's in the game (Madden 12), it's not in the game (Madden 13).
