The official "I need help manually passing" thread

As most of you know in CCM, there isn't a coach mode "auto passing" feature as well as no CPU vs CPU mode. So this forces the people that are horrible at passing (like me) to be forced to learn it.

So I am asking from you veterans, can you put together some kind of guide or give some advice/tips/help/instructions on HOW to be effective at manually passing?

One of the major problems I have is that when I'm trying to look for open receivers my eyes are downfield and not on the blitzing defenders so I get sacked 9 out of 10 times.

Please share your secrets my friends.

Practice mode.....seriously......spend a couple of hours in practice mode focusing on nothing but looking at the pass rush and blitzes.

Once you get the timing of how much time you going to have in the pocket, move on to actually throwing the ball.

Once you get that down, move on to learning when and when not to lead pass.

Over all......many hours of practice in practice mode.

My Advice is Practice man. I am a coach mode fan myself. I started to actually learn how to pass on NCAA 13. You will take your lumps in the beginning but you will get better also try to move your QB back some that might help you with the pass rush

But every blitz is different so some could be 3 seconds while some 10 seconds.

That is why you get to chose what ever defense you might face in PRACTICE mode.

Ok I'll start practicing. So just to make sure I understand, once I get the timing down of how quickly I'll need to get rid of the ball then I can focus on actually making throws, and watching the receivers get separation, etc.

Typically u wanna get rid of the ball within 3-4 seconds so count to 3the in ur head and if no ones open take a glance at the rush and move ur qb accordingly to buy a lil more time. And dont forget to use that r3 to throw it away if ur outside the tackle box n cant escape the rush.

Yep. Long process, might take a few days. But it works. Focus on time in the pocket first, then throwing the ball second, then lead passing 3rd.
