What is the WORKAROUND to PLAY ANY GAME in Franchise?

I read somewhere on one of these posts weeks before the retail version hit that there was actually a workaround in Franchise Mode (CC Mode) to be able to play any game on the weekly schedule like the old franchise days of previous versions.

I think it had something to do with switching coaches or something several times during a week and taking control of the coach of the team you want to PLAY.

Can someone comment on exactly how this is done, how easily it can be incorporated into the Franchise and if there are any caveats in doing this routinely throughout the season and the post season as a workaround to PLAY ANY GAME on the Franchise schedule?

I only like to play offline thanks!!!

Re: What is the WORKAROUND to PLAY ANY GAME in Franchise?

Actually there is a workaround:

Here are the caveats:

You have to be a coach.
You have to be an active coach.

If you are an active coach, you can retire and switch to any other active coach.
For example, if I'm the Giants and Tom Coughlin, I can retire and select Jason Garrett and play the Cowboys game. The week does not advance until you select "Advance Week" so you can play your teams game, retire, play another teams game and then return to your team.

Re: What is the WORKAROUND to PLAY ANY GAME in Franchise?

and playing as the coach allows you to actually PLAY the game as in old franchises of previous maddens where you can actually control any player on the field and switch too ?

Is this correct?

are there any downsides to this and how long does the process take if you want to play several games during the week?

Also finally. do you need to have XBOX Live at all to play a Franchise OFFLINE?

-Yes
-What aholbert32 said is correct
-I dont feel qualified to answer this since I haven't done it. The only downside I could think of would be do the coaches you user-retire come back to coach their former team? or will be the league turn into a Coach FFA with a bunch of random coaches?
-You do NOT need XBL to play offline.

Re: What is the WORKAROUND to PLAY ANY GAME in Franchise?

I tried this the other night online solo CCM, wanted to see how Kurt Warner was in the game lol but after I played with him and Dolphins...yeah I went back to my Ravens and still had all my xp and scouting points. Also played a super bowl doing this. Not sure about how it effects your legacy or what not didn't check but I don't see why it would mess that up.

is it possible to make edits to players in this offline mode?

And is it possible to make trades for other teams using this method?

Finally, can you use BROADCAST CAM in Offline Career mode?
