Re: Preseason Idea

Regarding preseason. Online CCM in the weekly to do list it always lists cutting the roster a few spots, then practice, then the game....etc. If I play the game will the CPU cut those players for me? Or do I have to cut first and then play to avoid the computer cutting them and making the decisions. I have been cutting first fearing that the computer will take things into their own hands and make the cuts for me. I hope that I can play the game, then evaluate and make the cuts after the game.

I just wish that in the pre-season Madden would stop automatically subbing my starters back in after I've removed them. And I don't want to see my starting wide receivers/running backs on the kick off team anymore either.

I think being able to adjust on a game to game basis, when substitutions are made, and for which positions they are made would go a long way... This is of course assuming that the computer has a good logic of how to make substitutions as well, and there are position battles.

Re: Preseason Idea

Well I didn't get into M12 really at all I just didn't like that game out of the gate. But ya if the idea was there last year it should have continued into this years CCM's , but not just rookies but also all the free agent additions that are fighting for roster spots as well. That way we can determine whether or not someone has progressed enough to keep or not progressed well and needs to be cut to add a spot for someone else. Or I guess it would be more like a dynamic ratings that change from game and practice and would go up or down depending on how they performed for you and how much you played them. So if they don't see the field much they don't progress ratings wise. Something that went along with the new XP system somehow. Like some ratings would be revealed and would change while other ratings like for an HB juke BC vision agility stiff arm and spin would be practice and game time related and the others would be XP related or something to that effect. Another thing to bring back would be drills THAT would be the best way to use XP other than games rather than practice and use practice as a way to increase or decrease the ratings not governed by XP ? I don't know just something to make Preseason and practice more fun and useful rather than boring grind for XP.

a COMPLETE special teams depth chart is LONG overdue.. special teams is a HUGE part of football and often times if a player is not good enought to start he MUST be a contributor on special teams guys like the 4th,5th 6th wide out 3rd string TE's, CB's S's etc.often times in NFL camps teams cut guys that may be more talented at a particular position than someone else BUT that someone else makes a lot of tackles on kickoff/punt coverage, so the coach sees more immediate value in that player to help the team NOW
