I'd definitely start Kapernick since he is you future. If Lamichael has hands I'd also use him in passing situations because his speeds too much for Lbs to cover.

I'm going to use the 43 just to stick to the scheme is has Walsh as using, even though he obviously used the 34 a lot, simply for the reason that we can't macro-edit coaching schemes.

I'm thinking I'll have way too much talent on the defensive side of the ball.

Justin Smith can likely play either DE position and DT. Bowman Could play WLB, Aldon Smith could fill the rush end position, and I'd have to figure out what to do with Brooks and Haralson.

Haralson was a 4-3 DE in college, so that's probably the best fit for him.

I'll have to think about the OL. As a kid in the 80s, I didn't pay much attention to the OL back then.

Me neither. I remember Harris Barton, Bubba Smith, Jesse Sapolu, and Guy McIntyre, but I only remember specifics about McIntyre, who was a great pulling guard by not super physical in the run game.

I'm thinking an emphasis on agility and pass blocking would be right for the LT and LG at least. I don't remember what kind of players those other cats were.

I'm thinking of using one of the Legend coaches in my CCM, just trying to figure out where to put guys.

Obviously, you can have them coach anywhere, but to me it would make sense to have the Legend coach schemes be pretty close to the current coach of that particular team.

For Bill Walsh, it looks like the Browns, Dolphins, Raiders and Vikings would be your best bet. Miami would probably be the best fit because you could mold the rookie QB into your scheme and Bush has great hands out of the backfield.

Tom Landry is an interesting case because he really could fit in with any team just based on all the different formations he used (and invented).

Vermeil would be a good guy to use in Green Bay, Detroit or even back in KC.

Joe Gibbs? I'd look at the OL and then would want a power back and some quality WR's. Tampa Bay would be a good rebuilding project for him.

The 49er OL of the walsh-era was an undersized group that was a fast pulling/cutting line. The main Niner runs of the 80's-90's were the following:

-Power Sweeps (the Lombardi Sweep was a huge part of the WCO run game)
-Tosses
-Traps
-Draws
-Power O
-Reverses - this is where the Madden's Walsh Playbook dropped the ball..There are no reverses in the book at all.

No ideas.... Don't have any desire to play with legend coaches...

I won't, pretty high on "realism". Although if they'd stay as coaches of the team even when you "retire" to continue your CCM as another coach in the same way current coaches do, I'd put Vermeil and Gibbs at teams that have fake coaches.
