Roster/Resigning Questions

Hey guys, anxiously awaiting first CCM roster update, but I have a couple of questions:

The CCM update brings the rosters down to 53 players, but were there any ratings changes included in the update as well?

and also:

Is it possible to resign a player before his contract is up, and if so, how does the new signing affect the salary cap?

I think that the CCM rosters for tomorrow are going to be largely the same as the Week 1 Play Now rosters.

And you can only resign guys in the last year of their contract, and only once the "Negotiate" option pops up in your actions screen.

actually, i believe you can resign players in the personnel screen as well...did it last night when i was just looking around and getting a feel for the whole CCM layout...it hadn't popped up in my action screen...will double check again, but I'm pretty sure i did

Was he in the last year of his contract though?
