Injured Reserve glitch in preseason
If this has already been mentioned I apologize for the duplicate post (I did search first!)
Anyway it appears that if you put a player on IR in the preseason they still count against your 53 player limit. It isn't until the season starts do they create a roster spot.
In my case I started a new Niners franchise and Parys Haralson is injured for 20+ weeks. I moved him to IR, but it still made me cut someone else.
As soon as the season started though I was able to add someone.
This really wouldn't have been so bad but the player I cut disappeared into the Madden Roster ether and is never to be seen again ( I cut TE Brian Jennings...who is actually the long snapper...but Madden won't let you select him as a long snapper, but that is another issue altogether!)
Anyway, seems guys on IR still take up roster spots during preseason.
