LBs with good ZCV ratings are like unicorns

They are extremely rare. I have scouted every single incoming linebacker's zone rating for two years now and have 5 that are rated a D and 1 that is a C.

Please don't tell me about guys you drafted I don't want the to ruin the fun of scouting but its difficult to find these guys to run the defense I want to.

However, love the realism and challenge of it.

I feel like this is one that would be easy to raise throughout the season. I only control the SS, but in my year with Chargers I was able to raise Butlers zone coverage 8-10 points

I hope a good portion of the rookies drafted require some XP work, find guys with the base skill sets you look for at each position, and DEVELOP your players weaker areas.

I'm very excited about the removal of potentials, because now as a guy who's often been between picks 26-32 in each round I don't have to worry about missing out on the best A or B potential players. I can scout, and use XP to flesh out the lower stats, even if it takes a season.

He's referring to rookies in the draft.

All depends on the draft. Most lbs i find for my tampa 2 have c or b zone coverage, but suck at blockshedding and tackling. It is all a delicate balance wen it comes to rookies ratings.

That being said even the guys i have with good zone rating still cant cover anyone in zone. They freely let guys run in and out of their zones then take forever to react when a catch is made.

Wow really? I haven't played post patch yet so maybe there was an update? All the linebackers for the cpu and myself are ball hawks. I feel like every team has 3 Ed Reed's at the second level lol. Or maybe I'm just used to previous madden's where the backers are zombies until the last second 80 inch vertical jump.
