Any way to disable spoilers in live tickers ?

This morning (EU) I just switched on the PS3 for a quick check of UT trades and boom first "live news" is the result of last night game between packers and seahawks.

I planned to watch that game today....

Yeah that's annoying. I DVR most games because of my work schedule.
I haven't seen any way of toggling it off like you could in NCAA Foootball.

I just have to keep eye discipline. (Dont' look down, don't look down)

Watch it man. Great defensive performances... and the worst officiating we might have ever seen in one game. Also, a wild finish. Even if you know the result, it's still worth watching.

A strip of duct tape across the bottom of the TV should do the trick.

Guess i'm strange because I record games all the time and most of the time know the result and even see a highlight or two but still can watch the whole game with no problem. It's hard to watch a sports game after the fact and have no idea of the result.

If someone so much as tells me "it was a good game" then it ruins it for me.
I'll know it's going to be close so if one team goes way ahead I know the other team will invariably make a comeback to make it competitive.

Or worse, when someone said "Most of the game sucked. Just skip to the end." Gee, thanks. Saved me 3 hours.

I'm having the same trouble with the live tickers.. I usually don't even fire up madden until I've watched all games up until thursday.. and I can't start it on friday because of thursday night.. If I get lucky I get to play a few games on saturday and sunday afternoon during the season..
