The problem is sometimes people who don't follow these messages boards just don't get it. They believe that if a play works a team will keep using it. Which is true in real life. The only problem is they are exploiting a video game and not a real defense. In a video game you can only tell a player to do 1 assignment. It is not like they are smart enough to read a play while it happens.

yep this is just like the 4verts in NCAA, sure you can stop it and certain defensive schemes might make it slightly less effective but that doesn't change that it is exploiting a flaw in the games design.

the middle WR/TE is going to do the deep slant which will either freeze the Safety or force him way out of his zone, the other safety will be pulled up with the opposite field WR and HB underneath and then you have an easy decision. hit the slot WR running a streak or the WR/TE on the deep slant. if you run the play 10 times, you can be successfull at least 6-8 times. that is not great offense against poor defense, it is exploiting the CPU AI's inability to properly cover.

call him on it and make him stop, it is usually easy enough to spot. in a user v cpu game, if a TE has 5 catches for 175 yards... that might be a red flag, in user v user games this should be a super red flag.

if he is a buddy, call him on it and if he doesn't change then boot him. nothing works better than getting kicked out, if he wants to rejoin then he can be on an even shorter leash. but to say "he's a friend, how can we stop the cheese?" is bulsh, because the obvious answer is to cheese back, nano-blitz and run the same type plays but then that ruins it for everyone else as well...
