The DB_File needs to be updated (which houses the roster file)
The file that houses the portraits is next(player.dat.. can't remember the exact name)
and last, a new setting file is needed to overwrite which location to load these files from (a source other than your game disc)

.. a big problem is, these changes wouldn't apply to players who had already started a franchise. To see an update Josh Gordon photo in your 'chise, you'd have to start over.

But this can be done, and has. If you have a PC version of the game, boot it up, and load an update. It will reveal the EXACT process, step by step practically.
so could this be done with hex edit? or whatever its called like ppl have done with rosters to transfer 13's to 12? or would u need another program?

Not sure if a hex editor would do the trick or not.

These are the steps the PC guys go through; http://ffmadden.wikia.com/wiki/Creat...ayer_Portraits

Simple enough. And they've done the rookies for each of the last 5 years with this method.

Yeah, but like you said, PC. Not as simple on a console. You would have to put the disk in your computer, which is very much frowned upon.

Why can't the files be saved to the memory of your console?? Simple enough. Same process as a roster update. All your setting file needs to be told is where to grab them from.

An 'L' word comes to mind.. ends with 'Y'. First and last letters of the alphabet inbetween....

How would they? Where would you go on your console to save those files to a flash drive? It's not in your profile, not in the Rosters, and not in any CCM/franchise files. There is no way to get those files on a computer using your xbox/ps3.

I'm not trying to argue, just trying to explain. We have learned all about Portrait Pictures over in the Roster Thread. No new ones can be added.

Hey, no argument from me.. I think we have our wires crossed here.

I'm not talking about a guy at his desk, working photoshop or gimp.. I'm talking about EA releasing this file as a patch for users which is well within their power to do. And seeing the process done since they abandoned PC, there really isn't much to it. Least of all with the resources at their disposal.
