Offline CC Question

Hey guys, I tried searching for an answer to this question for a while but I could not find one, I'm hoping someone can help...

I'm trying to start an offline career mode with the most recent rosters (Week 15). However when I choose "Import My Madden Roster" and start the mode the ratings reset and aren't what they are in the main menu of the game. For example Geno Atkins is a 98 overall in the main menu rosters (Week 15), but in the career mode I started he is only an 83 overall. I thought I remembered reading that you can start an offline career mode with custom rosters, so I was wondering am I doing something wrong? Can you even start and offline career mode with the weekly updated rosters? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It has to do with the schemes and the player's style. When you are looking at your roster all the overall's will be different than what you see in play now. When you are playing though and go to look at your depth chart you will see their normal overalls.

Also when you import your custom madden roster all the players that are on IR will be healthy again. Even if you leave per-existing injuries on.

O wow ok thanks. I didn't think a scheme and style could impact a player's rating by 15 points! That's kinda crazy. Appreciate the help!

I hate this and dont understand why EA even did this. All the players attributes stay the same and overall ratings are what they were in play now when you start the actual game. To me, this is pointless, meaningless and makes no sense whatsoever.
