Might explain a lot - I take the Herman Edwards approach - "You play to win the game"

If that means not throwing a ton because my starter is hurt - so be it. If it means playing a bend-don't-break and I give up first downs - as long as we win and played as well as we could...

That does not seem correct. I have multiple CCM's where I literally completed every weekly/season goal for the first couple seasons and my legacy did not rise above 500.

I don't think difficulty has anything to do with it either, in response to an earlier post. I'm on All-Madden difficulty, so I feel like I should be advancing a little quicker in the points category than I currently am.

It's stupid, you have a load of Superbowl wins, more than any other and yet they are ahead of you in the HoF rankings.

Increasing difficulty is CONFIRMED to increase legacy gains, if you want to confirm it yourself go to your coach in cfm during the regular season at some point, you can't do it in the offseason as you can't access the screen you need to. Set the difficulty to rookie, then go to the home tab and select the goals in the lower right. Tab over to Milestones and you can view how much legacy you get for each milestone, many give 0, however the bigger ones give many i.e. Win a Super Bowl gives 100 legacy, while 5 super bowls gives 700. If you want to write down the legacy gains for comparison sake do it. Now go back into league settings and set it to All-madden then come back to the goals page. You will notice that many of the legacy rewards have increase TEN TIMES of what they were on Rookie, i.e. 1 super bowl is now 1050 legacy, 5 super bowls is 7350. Check it yourself if you don't believe, me there may be other factors as well but i don't know of them. I simulate games so for me it makes the most sense to play on all madden as it only affects my practices by playing on that difficulty, but i can gain a LOT more legacy.

I am doing a franchise with my running back, and the coach (Dennis allen) has a legacy of 24000 after 4 perfect seasons.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm trying to understand how that is fun for you. Always beating your opponent just seems repetitive and becomes dull and boring. I actually want to know your answer on this.
