Any way to manage trades?

In my CCM with 15 people in it, everyone loaded up on 1st round draft picks... two users have 6 first round picks each... is there any way for me to disallow trades for the upcoming season or vote to block trades?

They do that in online leagues as well?

Just turn trades off and only have a certain trade period say each off-season and have rules like no trading with CPU teams. If these kids can't follow, boot them from your league.

Re: Any way to manage trades?

We limit each user to 2 cpu initialed trades per year and unlimited trade block trades. Having 6 first round picks is just stupid. But ultimately that will screw up their cap..IF i was you I WOULD PROHIBIT them from trading those pics during the draft. That way they cant trade back and get more 1st rounders the next year.

Re: Any way to manage trades?

Your best bet is setting and enforcing house rules.

The trade logic is generally decent in this year's version, so most trades will require you to at least give something valuable up to get something. But there are loopholes -- like signing a couple of the many highly rated FAs just to trade them for value -- that can be exploited.

I only join leagues with people I actually know or friends of friends, which helps eliminate some of the crap. There's no transaction screen, which makes it difficult, but we have set limits on how many CPU trades you can make per season and we keep a document that everyone is expected to update when they make a trade. And if someone doesn't follow the rules, we just boot them from the league. It hasn't happened because everyone's trustworthy and follows the rules, but there's really no other logical way to enforce this stuff other than to set rules and say "if you get caught breaking them, sorry, but you're out."

There is an option to only enable trades with user teams in the League Settings.
