Joe Flacco has disappeared from game

I'm playing Madden 12 on PS3. Controlling all teams in Franchise Mode.

I simmed thru the entire 1st Season & went thru the draft using NCAA 12 rosters. Got most players on their right teams.

Now, I'm ready to start playing but I have one problem: Joe Flacco is no where to be found! I've checked the injury report. I've checked the Free Agent Pool. (I don't remember him retiring!) Where could he be???

This ruins the experience for me.

Is he holding out for a new contract? I seem to recall discussion that M12 still has the legacy hold-out logic in the game, but did a terrible job of conveying that information to the user. Create a second save file, simulate to the regular season (if you haven't already) and see if he reappears.

or he got injured and retired. I am in year 2017 on Madden 12 (360), and a highly rated draft pick fractured a vertebrae and retired after only 4 seasons on mine this past year. Just another thought!

Hold-out...I didn't know this game still had that? I haven't seen it in 6 seasons!

more than likely he retired. we had the same thing happen in our ccm with drew brees. came to the 2nd season and couldnt find him anywhere. turns out he's gone. he mustve retired. but since this game took out the transactions screens u could look at week by week...its ALOT harder to follow all the roster moves taking place for cuts signings and trades. if the stories or twitter feeds dont mention it, u could easily miss it.
