I will copy-paste my comment from last year with minor edits.

The results are from a voluntary poll on the internet. The people who find a poll like this to begin with already have a bone to pick with whomever they are voting against. Gamers are also known to be a vocal contingent, particularly on the internet.

I feel like the situation surrounding SimCity, Origin, the company's position on DRM, the company's insistence on microtransactions, the company's historic strategy of buying smaller studios and subsequent homogenization of said studio's hardcore titles have far more to do with this than anything related to EA Sports, and that this poll is by no means representative of anything whatsoever.

I would tend to agree that this has nothing to do with EA's pro-LGBT rights stance. Unfortunately, OS isn't the place to have any conversation about anything political so comments to that end ought to tread carefully.
