The lack of a presentation blog has me worried

The last few years their has been a presentation blog in the very first playbook, this year there isn't even a mention of it. Did they even touch it at all, or did they do so little changes it wasn't worth it's own blog? Now I know some of you couldn't care less about presentation, trust me you've been quite clear about it. On the other hand it does keep the game fresh for folks just like myself who do care about it and want the game to look like it does on Sunday's on TV.

I'm sure they worked on presentation this year. They could be mixing into the other blogs this year. To early to worry about this. The will start announcing things starting tonight.

I'm right there with you man. I hope they have touched it, but seeing how Madden 13 was a mixed bag, I don't know what to think.

I really hope they got rid of those awful replays. The cameras used in those should've actually been used for post play, lol. I see they were trying to go for that "CBS vision" or "NBCee it" type deal but they totally got it all wrong. The Show has it with "Showmotion" and they nailed it. I don't see why it's so hard for Tiburon to copy what everyone sees on Sunday.

Sadly video games sports commentary will never be fully dynamic. Usually after a season or two, you've heard it all.

I'm not really worried about the presentation til they get the game-play right, we probably won't see a real upgrade in presentation til next-gen anyway and that's a big probably.

Re: The lack of a presentation blog has me worried

I have no idea what to think about presentation going forward in either football game.

I mean, based on what we saw in the NCAA previews, we should be optimistic (if only for NCAA). But still, the all-fatal design flaw to me is that the presentation is still being influenced by the button masher (i.e. shortening the sequences, etc). And that's not to say some shortening is entirely a bad idea.

But to me, why not fully flesh out the presentation to be true to the sport and build on/offs accordingly? Just seems, on the surface at least, that there's still some hesitation to commit to broadcast presentation fully.

Mike Young tweeted a pic out a couple months ago showing that they were again working with professionals for the M25 cameras. You want to be excited, but you almost roll your eyes at this point considering how GREAT the cams were in M12 only for them to mysteriously disappear the year after.

So I just don't know what to think when it comes to presentation in Tiburon football games. They throw us a bone as they did in M12, and then immediately go away from it. Have no idea what to expect come M25...
