I know that you arent supposed to be able to use created coaches in owner mode, but I heard somewhere that if you create a player and make him old enough that he will retire after one season you can hire him in the offseason as your head coach.

does anybody know about this or any other way to do it?

I don't know if you can hire them as head coaches right away, but you can definitely hire players to be coaches. I haven't messed around with it enough, but not all players become available as coaches (as far as I know). Maybe it has something to do with their awareness level or something.

I read an old post that said to make his awarness 99 and make him 45yrs old so he will retire after one year. so i did that, and made him a mlb to be a defensive coach. the post siad this guy did it and after the 2nd or 3rd season he will be there in the available coaches. but what i wnated to knwo is i left him as a free agent. shoudl i sign him? I rated everything else a 10 except his awarness a 99. Is overall rating is a 12 so nobody else will sign him. but im not sure what to do? worse comes to worse i will sign him the last week of the season so he will retire.

Sounds like a cool way to make your own coach. I'm sure it would work as it would for the other players in the game already. Give it a shot!

that would be great if it's true but the player would have to be damn good.
