PS3 Retail version running slow?

I've had the same problem. Freezes whenever I try a connected franchise after selecting owner persona. Also menus lag and go really slow. Tired to play online it also froze on select the teams. I haven't tried anything else yet. Been looking for any answers all night long. So fustrating. Never had a problem with madden before.

It could be the tv's setup. gigahertz 60 or 120 etc.... framerate etc...

For those having the issue, try deleting the game data (not save data, game data). Disconnecting your connection, wifi or cable. Boot up the game. See if its smooth.

If it is, turn it off. re connect and boot it up then.

Let us know.

just created a new offline ccm haven't ran into any problem's with freezing and the menus just fly by no lagging. haven't tried anything online may though just see if that works or freezes or lags.


just created an online ccm and no ISSUES works just like offline menus run smooth etc .

My guess is that this is somehow related to the EA servers which must be at overload due to the number of people playing the game. When it prompts you to connect to EA at boot up, hit cancel and see if you guys are having the same problems.

I tried both the offline and online franchise modes both froze at the same spot. I'll try again tonight. If it doesn't ill swap discs at GameStop.

Been playing all day with no freezes at all and the game is running smooth as can be for me.
i have tried every mode in the game with no problems at all.

Are you disabling your internet connection on the PS3? It could and would probably still be running in the background, regardless of choosing an offline franchise.
