Question about gameplay/online play

Playing a head to head game and every time I had the guys WR's blanketed in coverage he would physically take control of the WR and make them turn around and run the other direction to get open. I would see the blue circle go under the WR and then they would do this. Is this some form of cheating or what exactly is going on?

That is the vestige of a feature added a long time ago that doesn't get much press now - playmaker control. As the QB, hold the LT/L2 and you can take command of a wideout with the right stick. It's pretty much the best way to beat the Drop 10 men defense.

Okay thx. Never heard of this feature and I think its kind of silly to have in the game when its hard enough to play defense without people using it.

FWIW, he can only control the WR closest to the QB if I remember correctly....so if you manual a LB/S and manually play shallow you trail behind and eliminate that option for him.

They still have this? My game has just gotten better. I already user catch everything and under cut defenders.
