Re: Teams releasing Pro Bowl Players

After my first season in offline CCM the following players were released:

Darren McFadden
Steven Jackson
Darren Sproles
Rashard Meddenhall
Frank Gore

And that is just the half backs. There is no way those teams would cut those guys barring career ending or threatening injuries. And none of those players are injured. Extremely unrealistic.

I had Raji and Charles Woodson both released in my first CFM. I re-started with a new roster and it didn't happen the next time.

32 team control is back for a reason, I guess. I really want to play a football game, but I have a month-old baby sitting in my lap right now and I can't pour hours and hours into screwing with settings and micromanaging 32 teams. This is really frustrating - if M25 had decent AI, I could squeeze in some football in between bottles and diapers. The aging RBs on the FA market makes sense to me, but the rest of this stuff is the same nonsense that kept me from enjoying M13.

I understand the frustration and psychological need to attribute digitized bytes with actual people, but the system works. Most of those players are over 30, cost alot, McFadden is always injured (and costs a lot), and Meddenhall is very likely a bust. With the exception of Jackson, all of this seems realistic to me. And I understand why the game releases Jackson, and no one signs him. It was unrealistic two years ago when teams would be running with Turner as a starting HB at age 34. Now it is unrealistic when teams are releasing their old running backs?

Most notable releases after year one for me were Deangeleo Hall, Frank Gore, and Michael Crabtree.

Gore and Hall were old, but Crabtree?

Gore and Nnamdi retired on me without warning are two years. I'd agreed new contracts with them and I had three other players retire who we're mentioned in the new feed. I go into the draft with Nnamdi and Gore on my roster. I have plenty of roster and cap space. I draft well but don't pick up a RB or CB because I'm fine at that position. After the draft, I check my roster and they're gone.
