Re: Madden 25 Next Gen HD Screens (GameInformer)

The first sign on whether or not they have made some REAL changes in the next gen game will be to observe the animations and how the players interact with each other. If the defensive line still goes into a patty cake dance with the Oline and there is no way a defender can disengage from a block/move laterally with a block then they have failed.

If canned animations still dictate the outcome of most situations then they have failed.

If ANY legacy issue shows up in next gen, they have failed.(That just means they have ported old code over with no regard for the legacy problems the code has created)

If there are no new features in the game that seperate it from current gen, they have failed.

If the practice mode is the same practice mode from current gen, they have failed.

If the challenge system is still the same they have failed.

Pictures are nice and they look good. But it comes down how good the game play looks and not pictures. Pictures makes it look great, but at the end of the day game play is what everyone want to see. I just wish EA would come out give us a date and time as to when they will start showing actual game play and not video from some computer. I really hope it soon.

It looks nice and all, but how's the gameplay?? That's the key to them having a successful Next Gen game.. Gameplay, Gameplay, Gameplay.. period..

Umm, am I the only one that thinks that current gen pic of RG3 looks almost as good as that next gen pic? Anyway, I have to admit that those pics do look good, especially that one of Willis, but Madden (and NCAA) always look good in still pictures. The problems don't show up til the game starts moving.

Look at his braids! They did way better on hair and small lines throughout the faces.
But no, the pic of Willis looks terrible, all because of the terrible facemasks they can't seem to correct with the 3 bars

'better than what you sniff' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oA0WvH7y6jI lolz
