EA Sports head Andrew Wilson is the new CEO of EA.

I'm guessing this would mean he would push for a new NFL deal, mainly because that was his gig before.

if it were some other person trying to bring EA back, I would think they would've felt they should save some of that investment to a new NFL exclusive deal and go back to how it was before. Just my opinion.

edit- sorry I'm at work... but best case scenario about this is, he would invest even more into development of Madden and other Sports titles......but I don't know, he was the head of EA Sports division..I'm sure he had the power to before. :/

Re: EA Sports head Andrew Wilson is the new CEO of EA.

Even before this Wilson was hired, someone was asking a few months ago Anthony Stevenson in marketing about the deal, and he said all he could say was that they were in the middle of negotiations.

Maybe bringing in someone from outside of EA would consider changing that, but with someone from the inside hired as CEO, I would assume status quo.

As long as he didn't take lessons from Bobby Kotick.

New head: same body.

They need more than a new head: they need a revitalized team spirit that can revive some soul into this game.

Why would he pay money for bug testing when he has people willing to shell out and pay $60 to test the product? Business 101...find ways to lower your overhead costs.
