Coaching Upgrades

I have tried to find the answer to this on past threads but can't, so apologies if it is a repeat question.

Im in my first online franchise and had got 48kXP over the course,

I decided (hopefully rightly) to get the most expensive add on, thinking it would be the best, the Coaching XP Boost - it was the one at the bottom of the list.

Could someone who has previously purchased it explain to a newb what it actually is as the one line explaination on screen is a bit vague

What I think I may have noticed (since I bought this same upgrade) is that your weekly goals double. For example, pre-upgrade, say you throw 3 TD passes in a game that’ll net you 1000 upgrade points. Post-upgrade you’ll notice it’s double. I only noticed it because when I looked at my weekly goals from a game where I balled out, I thought “damn that seems like a lot” before I remembered I bought the upgrade.

Keep in mind, this is my best guess. It just seemed that way. I’ll say this though; pre-update my weekly goals didn’t jump out at me like they did post-upgrade.
