No return after INT

So I intercepted a pass from Aaron Rodgers and start trying to return it. I have two blockers and one WR front of me so I think I might have a chance at a pick 6. I kind of run I to my own blocker while trying to avoid the WR, next thing you know the play is over. No one tackled me, my CB never went out of bounds or anything. I got stuck between the WR and one of my teammates for like one second, then the play was blown dead. WTF???! How is the play over if I didn't get tackled or run out of bounds? The WR may have touched me, but I never fell down or even came close to going out of bounds. There's some new foolishness in this game every time I play.
