What is Coach mode?

What exactly is it? Is there any playing by you? Or straight computer? Do you watch the computer play your games and you make the personnel moves? Just what is this mode I'm interested in it just wanna know some of the details behind it.

You control everything except the owner stuff. No price setting and that stuff. I do believe that you draft and sign players tho

Coach mode basically puts you in the position of O and/or D coordinator and Head Coach. You call the plays, make adjustments and call audibles in game. The rest of the game is pretty much the same as usual. I like Coach mode, at age 46, my thumbs are a little slower.


To make coach mode interesting, maybe one could just call the D plays as the coordinator, working up to O and then Head Coach.

Coach mode means one thing and one thing only... if you don't touch the sticks after the snap, the QB will control himself. That's it, there are no other differences.

I am totally perplexed by the way they designed Coach Mode. It should be that you pick a play, and from there the CPU takes over. But in M25, the player is responsible for hiking the ball as well as special teams...and being careful not to touch the stick. And the ability to take over mid-play is kind of weird hybrid of coaching vs playing.
