You might as well tell EA to take scouting of the game.

Re: Draft guide Madden 15?

Whatever works, if you play the game however you want offline without it effecting any other people, that doesn't bother me any. Just like changing all of their stats to 99 before you start a franchise. No one should be able to tell you how to play your closed game, as long as no one else is being cheated.

PS- Do the same players get drafted in the same order every time? Or are there variations?

I agree if you want to cheat the AI in your franchise then thats your right, not the way I will play the game as I like a challenge, but each their own I suppose.
Only thing that annoys me about people like that, is the ones who go around bragging about all the Gems they find in the drafts and how many champiosnhips they have won, and act like they are this some great GM or mastermind

Re: Draft guide Madden 15?

i might understand the chance that a scouted a player that i did and valued more, so i did a bit of testing. drafted with no scouting, drafted with scouting the "gems", ie for test purposes simmed draft then identified gems and then scouted them in prior save file

first draft board order changes for the same player which is good stuff imo
downside every player i scouted as a gem was identified by the other teams. i only have 6300 points by offseason 4, i cant indentify gems across the board and positions with that number of points. what i would say is that certain teams avoided busts more than others

i dont agree with draft guides , i dont use them in my offline franchise but i want it to be a level playing field and atm i dont feel it is. now ea could come back and say we can prove it is etc but i have zero confidence in ea in anything they say about content that is present or works

Re: Draft guide Madden 15?

I only scout players that are projected to go in the first 3 rounds on positions that I have needs. After that I go on scheme fit, for example my Mlb is 3-4 tackler, so I only scout 3-4 tacklers at that position. I have no problem finding good players in the later rounds.
So I do feel that its a level playing field when it comes to scouting

this is a good strategy. it's pretty much what i do when i don't have a draft guide.

Re: Draft guide Madden 15?

I will say this new system is better in the long run and is more fair for online leagues with multiple users especially the more competitive leagues with 25+ users. I will say though Im going to miss how some of the players from the old draft classes especially from M13 achieved almost a cult following or legendary status. Guys Like JJ Smoke, Jason Judge, Trent Platt, Rockford Odom, Tyrell Pendergast, Furious Foster etc. The draft classes from M13 were just amazing and the players seemed to just have a ton of character that really enhanced immersion. Cant say the same for the M25 classes as they just lacked in all areas. The M13 classes though were amazing and sparked some of the best and most interesting leagues Ive ever been in, one went for 15 seasons with close to 32 users the whole time.

Maybe Im just nostalgic but EA did a hell of a job that year to the point where those players seemed to almost be real and were sought after and talked about non stop in the CCM/CFM community.
