why does ea keep trying to incorporate the right analog stick. I mean it doesn't matter to me, but at least for better ... or worse they are incorporating the right analog stick. Its just that it had surprised me quite a bit.

Well, if they use it right, it's a no-brainer. Controlling slides in MVP 2004 is an excellent example of how to use the right stick.
