QB retirement logic?

What factors are used to determine when a QB retires? Age? End of contract?

Exact circumstances I'm thinking of - I have Eli Manning signed for three more years, when he will be 38. I'm trying to estimate when he'll retire, so I know when to start looking for a QB.

It isn't an exact science like that I don't believe but I mean buy the QB retirement package if it's important to you, otherwise I think it's randomly determined (like a RNG each offseason past age 'x' for each player decides probably) so no telling how long he will stick around.

Re: QB retirement logic?

It depends on the QB's situation. Peyton Manning brung the Broncos to two Super Bowls in several years and he finally retired when he won one of them.
