Jistic, VC been around for a while, first off VC used to make Madden before Tiburon. So thats not true when you say they haven't been around for a while.

I think that in the past most people were force to select one or the other because of the price (I usually purchased both)...also I believe that a lot of gamers (teenagers) can't or won't buy both. ESPN's price drop won't exactly convert a lot of Madden faithfuls (at least not right away), but most gamers will buy both titles.

I have been on ESPN for a few years and will still continue to do so. But now that Madden and NCAA are on xbox "Live" I will get them also. Actually borrowed Madden 04 from a friend and have been trying to learn it the past few weeks...I enjoy it...just can't run to save my life! It is possible to enjoy both games...hell....all 3 games!!

I've bought both every year as well since VC came out with NFL 2K on Dreamcast. I also bought NCAA the first year it came out and have continued to do so. This year I just save $30 on the total

Also forgot that I've been a Madden player since the Genesis days.

VC made it one year in '96 and that didn't work out too well. My point is, most people don't know who develops games. Madden is the brand regardless of who makes it. People have been playing it forever.

NFL2K and now ESPN brand is still newer to people. You simple couldn't even play them until late '99.
