Random Thoughts on Collector's Edition

Seeing that Madden has the Collector's Edition this year, I wonder if the past games will be the complete games are just something where you can only play exhibitions? If it's the complete game, here's a thought: Let's say one game is Madden 2000, with a franchise mode. It would be tight if the college players in the draft for each year are the actual ones, leading up to the present. But I'd imagine even if it's the complete game, EA's not going to the trouble to rewritting names and such.

Going by precedent, I think that EA will only put in exhibition mode in the classic games. In one of the versions of PS1 Madden (2002 I believe, but not 100% sure), you could play 16-bit Madden, but only exhibitions. The 16-bit game used current rosters as well, rather than the rosters of the 16-bit game.
