Re: Has anyone tried the new "shoulder charge"?

Here's a quote from pg. 7 of the Prima guide:

"The Cover Ball button causes the back to put both arms around the ball and drop his shoulder. If you are about to take the big hit, you must cover up the ball to prevent the fumble. The Cover Ball button also helps you plow through congested areas of the line. Dropping the shoulder will help you to break tackles and bounce around until you can break into the open."

That sure sounds like a shoulder charge to me, but I don't have the game yet.

Still won't help Tiki - he just has a horrible case of fumblitis!

I'm glad that they took the hurdle out, I thought it was a was of button space when it could be added in automatically (like ESPN.) Glad they put it to good use...

So is there an auto-hurdle this year?

You know, I was playing a Giants franchise for fun for 6 games over the weekend. Tiki didn't have one fumble, but after my first few games I use the Y button religiously. I did, however, lose Eli Manning to a CAREER ENDING hip fracture. That's some pretty bad karma there .

Damn, I've did this about 2 times total. I just never really think to dip the shoulder. I'm gonna go try it to see if I can really "Truck" anyone....be back in like 10 minutes with results...

*scampers off*
