Have they done away with roster requirements yet?

If not, what the hell is the point of them? So what if my center got hurt, I am willing to go two weeks with only one on my roster. Why should I have to cut someone I actually want and take a cap penalty in order to be able to play the game? I am the coach. I am the general manager. I am the owner. Who makes those guys have two centers on their roster? Why can't I only carry two QBs.

I know its a fairly minor gripe, but it annoys the hell out of me anyway. Has it been taken out in 2005?
