I dont think so.

Why is every one on the easports site say this is maddens last year with easports . Do those guys no something or is there a link on this . there already thinking of new names .

Because his contract with EA is up, and he as not resigned.

Yet.

My take is that it ain't gonna happen. "Madden" is as big a brand name as there is in videogames - probably bigger than "Mario". They will not let him leave.

What happens if he does not sign . Do you think ea would be able to get the sales they are getting now using a new name?

if it's the same people making it i think they would. i would, since i don't much care of john madden's commentary.

however i know madden has a lot to do with making the game so i really have no idea how it'd work

No, I don't.

There is a huge percentage of people for whom this is their only gaming purchase each year. They get 'the New Madden', and that's it. If it was named something different, EA would have a huge uphill climb getting those users back.

Starting with the 2003 season Madden joined Monday Night Football with Al Michaels. ABC is owned by Disney as is ESPN. I've always felt that there was a slight conflict of interest. It wouldn't surprise me if that factors into Madden's decision.
