Funny Thing Happened This Evening

I wonder, is this a coincidence or not.

As I was reading to hit the hay, I decided I'd play a half of a game this evening.

So I get into Madden, select "Quick Game", and up comes the Rams against the Chiefs, with the Chiefs at home.

Strange, as this is the exact game being played tonight on Monday Night Football.

Is this a coincidence?

I know it's weird but it happens to me too..not just on madden on espn also..the other night when the jets played the colts,that exact game came up when i quick played on espn...strange

It's because EA selected the main games, that's why.

I figured this game set up was not a coincidence.

To say that "EA selected the main games" is rather vague. Is it somehow built into the game? Or is there something they do once you log in. In other words, if I did not go online, would the game come up as the same.

I'll have to try that sometime.

It has nothing to do with logging in, it's programmed into the game. I know if there is a non-sunday game, that game will show up on that day, like it did for you today. I'm not sure what happens when there is more than one game being played on a given day though.

I'm pretty sure that if there is more than one game on a given day, it'll be the game of your choosen favorite team. I think I remember this from last year's Madden. I'd turn on the game, and the game choosen would be whatever Packer's game was for that day. Say your team plays on a Monday Night, and you do this on a Sunday afternoon, then I don't know what will happen.

Madden uses the systems internal clock to select the game that would be on the schedule for that day or during the season, that week. It is not a coincedence.

but if there's more than one and it selects your favorite team, what happens if you don't have a favorite team chosen, because i set mine to none
