Can you use a created team in owners mode this year?

Last year you could put a created team in franchise mode but not in owners mode. The only way to get a "created" team into owners mode was to move a team. This of course had the major drawback of having to wait a number of seasons to do it (with the associated retirements, injuries, trades, etc).

Did they fix this?

I think they did. I created a team and played with them in franchise mode. It seems that owner mode is built into the franchise mode. I can't turn it off. The only thing is that you have to make sure that the personnel on your team fits under the salary cap. Otherwise, you won't be able to start your franchise with your created team.
