Fantastic Article on Realism and Sliders

Posted it in the main forum before I realized it belonged here.

Great read, looks like the Madden team allows you to get as realistic as you want...considering you're ready for it!

I think I've read this somewhere before? Maybe we should ask Bill.
Very fast is too arcadish, too many tenth of sec animations. I like Normal w/ speed thres 60 or fast w/ spd thrsh 70.
I may go for fast just for the challenge, but Normal seems so realistic to me.

Actually it's a good idea if you want to test pass blocking/pass rush.

I would rather just play the game than "test" it.

Is that really how you look at the game/sliders this year? To me it's: We don't know how to make a real football game, so if you want to figure it out yourself go ahead, but there are 100^25 different slider settings, so it's going to be impossible.

A bad Madden player wants to have realistic games.
A great Madden player wants to have realistic game.

How are EA (or whoever) supposed to be able to create a difficulty setting that suits both?

Instead, they let you create your own difficulty level, based on what you want.
