and I still can't figure out what all the complaining is about. Once you get used to the new controls it plays very responsively.

Yes, the lack of features is bad and something that I surely missed but the core gameplay is solid in my opinion.

I don't think a lot of people gave this game a chance and took the time to get used to the new control scheme. NCAA actually helped me with it. Now I like the scheme better than how the current gen control scheme is laid out.

It's probably too late as '07 is right around the corner but for those that play NCAA a lot and didn't enjoy Madden 360 pop it in one time and see if you don't have a different take on it.

How long have you been playing it? There were people that had positive impressions of Madden 06 XBOX 360 at first but their impressions changed drastically after playing it more.

As painful as this is, I find myself in agreement w/LIGHTNING. While I don't think it was as bad as some have stated, the first 360 Madden was a classic example of familiarity breeding contempt.

The game was just completely rushed and not worth the $60 price tag. The time spent on that game did not allow for any sort of refinement whatsoever.

It was a sham to charge $60 on a game that was clearly not up to par with sport games in this day and age. Pretty graphics aside....

I'm sorry, that was very trollish of me. Let me just say that I agree with Lightning except that is how the majority of EA games are. Fun at first then you start to be annoyed by the lack of depth.

Agreed. Any sports game that has the same unfinished product now and forever should be sold with the reduced price (aka - xbox).

No, you're right. I actually agree with you. However, the gameplay in NCAA was more refined than Madden last year. Had it not of been, it would be in the F/S bin right now.

I just recently played a few games of Madden 06 again myself (I'm getting that NFL football itch) and my impressions of it have not changed. The game is very difficult to play for extended periods of time. And the player movement just annoys the hell out of me. There is no sense of weight or momentum when controlling your players.

It is the little things it does wrong that add up to a lack-luster, not very enjoyable experience.
