This just kills me... the above is one of the things Madden '07 has bulleted in its "feature list."

If you were around last year for the release of '06 on the 360, some of you might remember the many arguments going back and forth on how the game wasn't even "true NFL football" because of the omission of one of the most important rules in recent years.

Now, here it is, on that "oh so important" feature list this year. Something that was in before, removed (or "not put in yet." Depends on your stance...) and then returned as a touted "feature."

Classic Madden marketing 101.

That is true, its like they (and they very well might) leave their marketing to an outside firm, which is understandable, but then do not double check or even think about their ad campaigns. If that makes any sense. Like a person who knows nothing about football or gaming writting the ads. Then again that is who they are trying to appeal to in adds, not hardcore Madden Gamers.

We said last year EA would do this....They kill themeselves when they do this because it makes it look like they are doing no work and being lazy.

Why is that a "BIG" feature?...I mean seriously...just put it in the box.Its part of the nfl so why is it a big feature?

They don't even have no presentation so they challenge system will still be dull and I doubt you can choose what you want to challenge like in the 2k series.

Wow. This would have been big news five or six years ago, but now? People who know absolutely nothing about the game of football and it's rules (a growing population among Madden gamers) will read that and say "wow, this sounds really neat!" In reality, this is not innovative and has no business on the features list.

More than anything, I think EA just wanted to clarify that the challenge system would be on this year's edition of next gen. I'm okay with that, but pimping it as something "new" is rather laughable.

NCAA 07 on the 360 has the new challenge system. You cannot pick what to challenge and half the time you want to challenge a call (like an out of bounds catch or the qb arm moving forward) it tells you the challenge is not available? How is the challenge not avialable if I want to challenge a catch inbounds....even if I am dead wrong I should be able to make the challenge. It is only available during pre programmed flub ups which defeats the purpose and I have only seen the booth review one call on their own. On top of all this it is not avaible for online games

The challenges are only available in the huddle... once you break the huddle (select a play) you can no longer challenge.

I'm referring to NCAA, of course.
