clearing the cache

i have read about people saying to clear out the cache for playing madden to improve upon the game not being choppy. my question is how do you clear the cache and does it really make the game run smoother.

Hold the A button on the controller while the game is booting up is what they said for Oblivion.

Re: clearing the cache

Here is a more specific way to do this. Remember, when you clear your cache, you erase all game updates, so you will be prompted to download them again (things like patches etc.). This does not erase game saves and any profile info.

To clear the cache on the Xbox 360 do the following:

Go to the Xbox Dashboard, select the System Blade, and select Memory.
Highlight the HD symbol and press Y.
Press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X.

You will see a confirmation message to confirm system maintenance, proceed.

Re: clearing the cache

is there a chance that this might mess up some of your saves, or maybe the actual hard drive itself?

Re: clearing the cache

Didn't do anything for me, but my x360 is almost brand new.
