Why do I have a 500 million cap?

I am in 2023 of my Dynasty, it has been like this for awhile though.

My current salary is 230 million, and I have 250 million in cap space left. Is this a glitch or something?


Also sometimes when I draft it won't let me pick my own player, when I go to select him it makes me sim the draft.

Although that is fake, it still must be pretty badass to be able to out and get anyone you want.

No it's not, it sucks. This happened to me, too. If the game does this with the salary cap, there's no challenge in building your football team.

I got to about season 2013, and my salary cap was, literally, something like 109 million. I couldn't believe it. Franchise mode instantly became boring.

It went up even higher now. Have a higher salary but almost 300 mil cap space. I am just simming eveythign now to get the 30 year season achievment.


It's not really that fun, if best players in each position were in the 90s maybe, but all the best players except linemen are rated in the low 80s

My cap is nowhere near 500mil but its well over 100mil and its way too easy, my buddy and I basically regulate ourselves and don't go wild signing everyone we could. I'm always letting great unsigned playerss go just to make the game more interesting and get some new blood in there.

Crazy! I guess just make yourself not sign too many guys. Or give yourself a cap and try not to go over.

I wish Madden would really fix this..it's always been to easy to sign high profile guys.
