Will Defensive Assignments Be Back?

This is the number one question that I have for the new game. Defensive assignments were no where to be found on the "next generation platforms" but were on the Xbox and PS2.

I've always enjoyed this feature and has made playing defense more involving for me. When using defensive assignments I've felt more like I was playing a chess match against my opponents offense. So heres hoping to its return in the next gen consoles

I needed this becasue there was no way to position your players right against cheesers. My cousin beat me with one play becasue he mastered that one play. I held him all game but it is too hard to make people adjust without the defensive assignments IMO. I know it can be done with certain plays but you still need to find them.

Yes, it will be back. Here's a part of Team Xbox's first impressions.

"This time around Tiburon is rewriting their deep coverage AI so that streak routes are no longer the money plays they once were. They’ve also retuned the AI of ball carriers, so when there’s thirty seconds on the clock, he won’t stay in bounds and let the time tick down. Now he’ll actually act like he has half a brain and duck out of bounds. In fact, the AI’s entire clock management routines have been retooled to deliver some much needed realism. Oh, and defensive hot routes are back too."
