Running w/o a fullback worthless?

I'm finding that my most successful runs only happen when running out a the I with a fullback in front of me. Single back sets almost seem worthless, or at least not worth attempting a run due to the lack of success. Anyone see notice this or do I need to switch teams? (settings: All-pro; Default sliders; playing with the Seahawks)

No probs here running from single back sets.

I was able to run with the Gore out of singleback sets (all pro)

I have always found it impossible to run without a FB unless I come out in a spread formation and use like "HB Cutback" or some play of that sort.

Ever since Madden 05 have I had trouble with it. I've seen other people do it, but I guess my running style doesn't comply with only a single back. Don't ask what my running style is because I couldn't tell you, I'm just throwing that out there as a possible reason why I can't do it.

I normally prefer to use the FB, but I have success in the singleback too. It's a different style. With a FB you just follow him to the hole - when he is gone you have to create a little more.

What difficulty are you playing on? All-pro you should be able to run out of any set. If you are playing all-madden then it is a lot harder, but still works. Just make sure you are not using turbo until after you hit the hole. This works really well on all-madden. Also make sure you are faking the snap, because the CPU trys to jump the snap all the time!
