Injured Reserve and Practice squads.
Injured Reserve Players counting against a teams roster limit.
This has been an important issue with Madden that hasn't been fixed. It shouldn't be an issue at all since It is an integral part of NFL rules. Many championship teams that have have key injuries during the year have utilized the rule to sign key players when a starting players season has been ended by injury.
Currently in Madden a player on injured reserved still counts against the roster limit.
In real life, and by NFL rules, once a player is place on injured reserve their precious roster spots can be assigned to someone else.
Why is such an important and basic NFL roster rule been wrong in madden for so long? I hope it is fixed this year.
It would also be nice to see the ability to have a practice squad like real NFL teams have.
Each NFL team may keep up to eight members on their "practice squad" in addition to their 53-member main roster. They consist mostly of rookies who were cut in training camps and borderline NFL-caliber players. Both rookies and young veterans are eligible for the practice squad. However, a player cannot participate on the practice squad for more than three seasons.
