On-Line Leauges- Bad News

Pasta Padre just posted an article about the On-line leagues that is very dissapointing. To sum it up:

-No Stat Tracking (Individual, or Team)

-No way to create schedule or even have the computer randomly generate one.(Flex schedule means you play whoever is on without any real structure)

-And the worst part is that if you have a 32 team league you have to play a minimum number of 32 games!! WTF? Apparently there is an option for 1,3,5,7,9,or 11 regular season games but that is the number of times each member play each other. (He is re-looking into this but if that is the case the leagues are completely ruined)

Think about this, if you have a 32 team league and choose to play an 11 game regular season then that is a total of 352 games! EA can you please comment, alot of us were looking forward to these this year. Thanks

I hope this is just some type of mistake and not how it really is.

MODS please do not close this thread. This is very important to many of us and I have not only re-capped the article from a reliable source but also posted a link.

Thanks

If that is true, this is total crap then. No stat tracking?! Wtf? That's like one of the most important thing in any sports league. Yes, this is just a game but cmon! I'm sure a lot of gamers were looking forward to tearing up their online league but now this is a real letdown. Lame.

So EA knows people have been using LeagueDaddy for years and this is what they came up with? Absolute Bull**** EA, absolute ****.

Thanks for going half-assed on another feature. I just can't wait for people to go into apologist mode.

Pathetic.

Re: On-Line Leauges- Bad News

Seriously thought WTF is the point of on-line leagues with no stat tracking , next we are going to find out it does not keep W-L records Wow EA just WOW

IGN: The words "online" and "leagues" have finally come together in one mode for Madden 09. Tell us why people should be excited about it.

Ryan Ferwerda and Daniel Castorani, Madden Design Team: First and foremost, this has been a feature that we've wanted for years and we finally felt that we had the game in a good enough place to be able to execute.

This feature is truly being built from the ground up with the help of nearly all the teams here at EA. It's something we are all really passionate about and can't wait to get into the hands of users.

That being said, we have support for up to 32 users, full player stats, player trades, a fantasy profile draft, news options and a myriad of other features.

So what happen between the time this article on IGN and now? Again WOW EA just WOW!!!!!!!

Re: On-Line Leauges- Bad News

So what? Its basically just like playing anybody else online?! I could be playing someone in a rank game and just pretend its a league game. Its basically the same thing....... But oh wait. A regular ranked game has stat tracking! That's ridiculous.
