Is it hardcoded into the game for each team? It seems lately every time I play the CPU, they're backwards.

Baltimore had Joe Flacco throwing 17 times in a half, and New England handed it off to Maroney 12 times in the first quarter with Brady only throwing 6 times.

Is it anything we can control?

Absolutely makes no sense. And what do you know, with the move to the next gen platforms they removed any control that you had over this from the last gen versions of the game.

Its just random isnt it.

The cpu picks a play appropriate for the down and distance.

That may be true, but it sucks that way. Each team has a style, well most teams anyways, and that should be evident when you play different teams controlled by the CPU.

I miss the LG days where the coaching staff had an influence on the teams - not that it was perfect, but going back to that with some refinements I think is a good idea, especially in Franchise Mode.

I'm curious about what Ian might have to say about this. I hope they are working on a way to give teams tendencies & indentities.

I agree it did seem like the coached had more team control last gen.
