run animation adjustment

thought i would start a new thread for Ian since some people might miss this, since it's in the middle of the twitter tread.

Quote:
We're having some export problems today - the ball keeps showing up rotated 90 degrees in the guys hands. In the meantime, I can show one run style that was slightly adjusted by Simon...this one is still in progress but I figured people would like to see it and give feedback.

Thoughts?

Also to compare, I uploaded the sprinter style (that no one seems to like)...this is the 09 version so hopefully I'll have a comparison video of the new one soon once we sort out Simon's export problems.

Re: run animation adjustment

Just looking at the animation, it looks better...as far as the speed with which he makes it downfield, he runs 40 yds in about 5 or so seconds...so its a tad slow if you're looking for a 40 time...but I think its pretty realistic for football IRL.

Edit: I still don't like that lunging flip at the end...very few players are going to do something like that...

Re: run animation adjustment

Nice... it looks alot more life like and less robotic. It actually looks like he's pushing forward more now.

Man, that looks so much better. More movement and it just looks much more realistic.

Re: run animation adjustment

I feel the shoulders are still too still. Arms are just a tad too far away from the body. But looks muucchh better.

Re: run animation adjustment

Yeah i agree it looks a lot better, would have been nice to see it from the side to see how high the legs were up. But this is going to help a lot in creating better realism.

Re: run animation adjustment

feet should be churning a lot faster when a player is running, especially when they're sprinting.
