Could we have roster updates affect PHYSICAL player ratings in franchise?

I saw it the last few years where EA modified certain players' speed ratings throughout the season with updated rosters. That's totally fine because we don't really know what these players are capable of until we see them on the field.

But can we get these physical ratings to update on our existing franchises as well? I find it very unrealistic to upgrade players' speed through training each week, because you could eventually have any player you want at 99 speed. Trash that. If we had updated physical ratings, it would make it a lot more realistic.

As for non-physical ratings, I think it's fine the way it is just by the progression factor.

Maybe too late for 10 (maybe not ) but just an idea for the future of Madden.

I've always wanted this, just like the living dna rosters from week to week in franchise, it would be so amazing to see the real trades happen week to week and play your franchise game every week just like real life.


You could always run a second franchise and do your own thing but I've always wanted the ability to have a franchise like this.

To me it just makes no sense to be able to jack up someones speed rating 10 points over the course of a few seasons. That would never happen in real-life.

Instead, why not just add the ratings updates (just physical ratings) to existing franchises?

Also, say there is some undrafted FA runningback who nobody knows about, so EA gives him a measly 75 speed rating. Half-way through the season in real life, this guy proves he is the $hit and pretty fast so in a roster update, EA makes this guy a 92 speed. Why should we be stuck with this guy in our franchise as a 75 speed? Just let those ratings update into franchise.

or instead of having an update do it for us, why not just have every player in franchise mode fully editable?

that way you can do it yourself...

that would help when a team has like 6 LG's and none on the right side...just to make it more organized...

and to possibly solve that, make it so there are no left or right side and just make G, T, OLB, DE
